ABOUT TROOP 396

Troop 396 formed over 35 years ago and has been meeting at Sacred Heart School Building for over 10 years; we have between 20 and 30 members!

Troop 396 goes on a camping trip once a month to a site usually within two hours of La Porte. We have been camping, hiking, canoeing, tobogganing, white water rafting, rock climbing, ice skating, horseback riding, zip-lining, caving, and more.

Troop 396 camps for one week at Summer Camp each June at Camp Tamarack in Jones Michigan on Wood Lake Reservation.

Every July Troop 396 goes on a High Adventure Trip. High Adventure is a week-long backpacking trip for older boys and adults.

Any boy between 11 and 18 years old is welcome to join, so give us a call or stop by a meeting! Troop meetings are held every Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
